Venturing
We are looking to build out a thriving investment network for the Industry 2.0 segment (think connected smart hardware). Aerospace is certainly but one segment of the broader set of Industrials that are undergoing a renaissance as sensors are added, and connectivity becomes pervasive. Add to this the various artificial intelligence technologies that are starting to make the hardware we are familiar with seem smart. Because of these trends, we see great opportunities to invest and/or get involved in these sectors.
We invite you to explore and connect with us on our initiatives:
1) Hacking for Defense/Space/Industry - involving the next generation to engage and solve hard problems while developing prototypes and potentially startups
2) Bamboo Capital Network - monthly screenings of frontier tech companies
3) Corporate Venture Capital Roundtable - bi-annual discussions around CVC activity in this segment

Frontier Tech Investment NetworkThrough our outreach to the aerospace community we have met interesting, daunting entrepreneurs who are "inventing the next". We invite 4-5 companies to present to a select network of angels and/or seed stage venture funds on a monthly basis.
Investors, if interested, please email Ellen. Startups, if interested, please send your AngelLst profile and link with LightSpeed or Ellen on AngelList Lean In - inquire about supporting as an advisor or sponsor. |
CVC Roundtable DiscussionIn 2017, we plan to host round tables in person and online to discuss CVC success factors and investee viewpoints. We are working to convene experienced CVCs and new CVCs to learn about the challenges and lessons learned and build out networks for success. One of the roundtables will be featured at Wharton Aerospace Ventures in May 2017. Provide us with your ideas and insights, and help shape the discussion. |
